Direct To Film (DTF) Printing
A direct to film (DTF) printer allows you to print a highly detailed and or complex design onto a piece of film, then transfer it directly to the fabric in a simple and efficient way using an industrial heat press, similar to Vinyl and Digital Transfer Printing. The reason this technique is gaining status and popularity is the variety of fabric surfaces it makes available for printing. The DTF printer can print easily on cotton, polyester, synthetics or even silk with no issues, making it an incredibly flexible method to use in comparison to DTG printing which has limitations.
Buccaneer Group was one of the early adopters in the UK to this new technology and now use this technique for the majority of it’s garment printing orders whether it be for single print jobs or jobs that require several hundred prints. No setup costs are required for this form of decoration.
The printing shows incredible wash resistance but suitable care should be taken similar to Vinyl Printing when washing garments.
